Workforce Education Built For Impact
SITUATION: New Program Development
Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) launched RIT Certified to address a growing disconnect between traditional education and the rapidly evolving needs of employers and learners.
Businesses needed talent with demonstrable skills immediately, while many individuals lacked accessible, affordable pathways to gain the competencies required for modern roles. Existing training programs were often misaligned with employer needs, slow to adapt to industry change, and disconnected from real-world work environments.
At the same time, millions of individuals including career changers, veterans, underemployed workers, and lifelong learners needed flexible, skills-based education that could help them enter or advance in the workforce without committing to traditional degree programs.
OUTCOME: A foundational brand strategy and program platform that positioned RIT Certified as the bridge between learners and in-demand skills and between employers and qualified talent. Ultimately, creating a new model for workforce education built around learner-centric pathways and industry-validated credentials.
